Missionary Technology Training Overview
The Missionary Technology Course provides practical training and evaluation into the following areas.
Solar Electric Technology
This track will provide students with a deep understanding of the full solar electric system including electronics, power supplies, panels, protection, transformers, batteries, and system design.
Power Systems
Through this track, students learn the fundamentals of power systems such as batteries, LP gas, hydro systems, wind systems, and generators for the purpose of missionary living and equipment.
Construction Technology
In this track, students learn the process of housing building. Skills include wiring; house design; construction techniques such as concrete, ferro cement, and rammed earth for the purpose of missionary house building on the field.
Equipment Maintenance and Skills
This track provides practical training and experience in maintaining key missionary equipment such as refrigeration units and water purification systems. Students also learn practical skills such as electric and gas welding.
Why is missionary tech important?
Missionaries frequently encounter issues on the field that can prevent or hinder their active ministry. As a tech specialist, you will have the knowledge to troubleshoot and repair these issues so your family and your team can return to ministry quickly.
What will this training prepare me to do?
This postgraduate training will prepare you to serve as a tech specialist on the mission field. This includes teaching, consulting, assisting and equipping missionaries.
